Good questions
What's the difference between the two flavours?
Original is biltong: whole-muscle beef with just vinegar and salt, sliced into strips. Traditional is droëwors: a spiced beef sausage with coriander, pepper, rosemary and cloves, in snackable sticks. Both are air-dried and never cooked.
How is this different from jerky?
Jerky is usually cooked with heat, and often pressed and sweetened. Biltong is whole-muscle beef, marinated in vinegar and salt, then air-dried low and slow. It's never cooked, so it keeps a rich, beefy flavour.
How should I store it? How long does it last?
Unopened, it's shelf-stable: check the best before date on the pack. After opening, seal and refrigerate, and enjoy within 5 days.
Where's the beef from?
Goodstock is a Product of U.S.A., made with grass-fed beef. We're Canadian owned & operated, bringing a South African tradition to Canadian pantries.
